First Grade

Marlee started first grade today. She is growing up so fast. I have to admit that I had a lot of fun shopping for new school clothes for her. She has never been into wearing dresses but I bought her several skirts that she likes. My cute girl!!!

Vegas Vacation

Right after we came back from St. Martin we took a family trip to Vegas. My brother Trent his wife Heather, their 3 kids, my parents and us all got rooms at the Mandalay Bay. My sister and her hubby Tim live so close to the Hotel that they didn't get a room. Their pools were awesome. They have a huge wave pool, a lazy river and tons of other small pools. We rented a cabana which was very nice for the kids! Sorry, these pictures are all out of order.

Here is my niece Kenley (my brother and wifes youngest) I caught her puckering her lips at the perfect time.

My sister Lori, her hubby Tim, West and me, my dad and my brother Trent. My mom got us tickets to The CSI experience. Basically, you pick a crime scene that you want to solve and you take all the steps that an actual crime scene investigator would go through to solve a crime. It was cool but they pretty much gave you the answers through the whole thing. They could have made it a little more tough.

St. Martin trip

West and I were lucky enough to take a week trip to St. Martin.....and the best part was we were kid free. Love my kids but it was nice to have a little break. We didn't really get any good pictures because I didn't bring my nice camera and also its hard to get pictures of us together when it's just us.

Lounging on the beach that was only five minutes from where we were staying. Luckily for us it was our favorite beach too. We decided that since on our last trip we did so many excursions that this time we would relax most the time. It was nice!

There were so many stray dogs and cats near our hotel. They were all so friendly too. The dogs would just chill under parked cars to get out of the sun.

It was so crazy because when we were there the World cup was going on and the side of the island that we were staying at is owned by the Netherlands. The World cup game was the Netherlands vs. Spain. It was so crazy that we were there while all this was going on. We asked around and found the best spot to watch the game where all the locals would be. I think we were the only Americans there. We threw on what orange we had (me not much and West an orange hat he had) and watched the game. Too bad that they lost. They are crazy about soccer there!!! It was definitely a fun experience though. Here is a shot of the place. This picture doesn't do justice as to how packed this place was.

Escape artist

We had to install a nice little crib tent for the escape artist a.k.a. Boarder. This has really been a life saver. He actually doesn't mind it at all.

Our own 80's day!

Our friends thought it would be fun that when we went out one night that we would all dress up in 80's attire just for the heck of it. It was awesome to go into a restaurant before we headed out to karaoke, to see everyone starring at us. It was a great idea and a fun night!

Another tooth gone for Marlee

Marlee's two front teeth are officially missing. One of them fell out a month before the other so her gums are all uneven on the top. She's growing up fast!

Family Reunion

We have a Carpenter (West's mom's side) family reunion every other summer. This year we all headed up to Williams Az. (outside of Flagstaff) Some camped and some stayed in toy hauler. We stayed in a toy hauler. My parents actually came up too. They brought up my brother's toy hauler for them and they also brought up a family friend's Rhino to drive around.

The next day I took the kids out to fish and Marlee caught her very first fish ever. She was sooooo excited! She had a even cast it all by herself too! She thought that her pole was stuck on something so I pulled it in for her and there was a fish attached. Wahoo!!!

Right after Marlee caught her fish, her cousin Ella caught her first fish ever too. Good thing uncle Jeff was there to take the fish off the hooks and gut them. He was a life saver!

Thugs

Marlee and Flash think its so funny to come out dressed alike. We have two of the same shirts because my mom gave us a shirt that we already had. Marlee loves to dress like a tomboy. I guess I can't say much because I did the same exact thing.

Flash's 4th B-day Party 6/9

Flash's 4th birthday was a success. All thirty something kids that I counted were happy and entertained the whole time! We rented a huge Batman slide and snow cone machine. The slide was super fun! I even got out there and loved it!
